Over 100 people attended College Hill’s National Night Out celebration on the evening of Tuesday, August 1. As one long-time College Hill resident put it, “it has been 20 years since I have seen the neighborhood pull together like we did for this event!” Bringing neighbors together is what NNO is all about!
With Mendenhall St closed between Carr and Rankin, there was plenty of space for folks of all ages to stroll, chat, dance, create, play, splash, and pedal in safety and comfort! The weather was fine, music was in the air, paint was flowing, food and drink were abundant, and a pool of cool clear water beckoned. It was the perfect setting for introducing folks to the traffic safety and placemaking improvements installed in Phase I of College Hill for Everyone. Give yourselves a pat on the back, College Hill – you deserve it!
